Diane is flying in this morning. Christy stayed the night last night. Bella has been a bit fussy.

Tracey is feeling sick again this morning. It looks like her breathing is a little labored, but her mind seems pretty clear. I did ask if she wanted a doctor or to go to the hospital and she said not yet. She requested and received additional nausea medication.

  1. Hi Brandon,

I've thought more about your thoughts regarding Hospice and wanted to add to others' comments about the incredible support they can provide you.

My father had hospice and, although I didn't realize it at the time, they provided a lifeline I didn't realize I needed. They are there to do just about anything you need, i.e., shopping, babysitting, sitting with Tracey so you can get some respite, etc. Our hospice volunteer even helped with household chores.

At first, it's a bit odd having a stranger in your home; however, they are extremely respectful and open to your needs. If you need to just talk with someone, they're there for that also.

You have been such an amazing care-giver that, I'm betting, you've neglected many of your own needs. I believe Tracey would want you to receive as much care as does she. Please consider taking advantage of Hospice services. They are there for you as much as for Tracey. If you don't like what you find you can always cancel the service.

Please give Tracey a hug for me.

    Sarah
